Access keys

You can use UK Government Access keys on this site. This allows you to use your keyboard to navigate quickly to key pages, wherever you are on the site.

Microsoft Windows (most browsers)

To use an access key on a computer running Microsoft Windows in most browsers, hold down the alt key on your keyboard, and press your chosen key from the list below. You may then have to press the return key on your keyboard to activate the link.


If you are using Firefox you will need to hold down shift and the alt key plus your chosen key from the list below.  

Apple Macintosh

To use an access key on an Apple Macintosh computer, hold down the ctrl key on your keyboard, and press your chosen access key.

Change text size and contrast

Our website can be viewed on a range of different screen sizes and the size of text and contrast colours can be changed to suit your needs. You can change these settings by clicking on the "change text size" and "change page themes" options in the top right hand corner of each page.

Mobile version

If you are visiting this site using a mobile device, you will be automatically directed to our mobile version which will optimise the experience for your device. You will have the option to switch to the desktop version if required.


The majority of downloadable documents on this site are in PDF format. If you do not have Acrobat reader on your computer you can download a free copy on the Adobe website.

We add accessibility tags to PDF documents and strive to make all documents as accessible as possible. We are aware however, that some older documents may not be completely accessible. To address this we are putting together an action plan to resolve accessibility issues with PDF documents. If you experience any problems accessing documents on our website please contact us.
