Adult Social Care and Health

Welcome to Bracknell Forest’s Adult Social Care and Health Department.

We can provide advice and information about the range of social care services that may be available to support individuals or families (over 18).

We offer assessments for people which help to determine any support that can be provided. If people are not eligible for adult social care, we can give them information about other ways and organisations that they could get help.

The focus of our support is to enable people to retain their independence, which will mean people can stay in their own homes for as long as possible.

Support may be needed for a ‘crisis’ or a longer period, depending on the circumstances.

We have specific support for the following areas for individuals and/or their families:

  • Older people ·People with a learning disability
  • Asylum seekers
  • Carers
  • People affected by HIV/Aids
  • People with mental health needs
  • People who misuse substances
  • People with Long Term Conditions
