Autism Partnership Board

The Bracknell Forest Autism Partnership Board meets every three months and has two chairs, one with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The aims of the board are:

  • to lead in local planning to support the local implementation of the 5 core areas detailed in the National Autism Strategy
    • increasing awareness and understanding of autism
    • development of clear, consistent pathways for diagnosis
    • helping adults with autism into work
    • improving access to services and support to enable independent living
    • planning and development of local services to meet identified needs and priorities
  • support and advise all stakeholders on the implementation of the Bracknell Forest Autism Strategy and the National Autism Strategy and evaluate the impact of the strategies through self assessment.

Representatives on the Autism Partnership Board include:

  • Bracknell & Wokingham Mencap
  • Autism Berkshire
  • seAp Advocacy
  • NHS
  • Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)
  • Parent/Carer of an individual with ASD
  • Three individuals with ASD
