Thank you all for your patience.

Update - Monday 14 April

Entries for the Bracknell Half Marathon 2014 have now closed. The organisers will not be making any more places available.

Entries made on or before 8 April have been processed and the runners' packs posted out by second class post on Friday 11 April. The remaining entries will be processed and runners' packs posted out in the next couple of days.

Every year a number of runners' packs go missing in the post. Please allow a few days for your pack to arrive before contacting the office. If your pack does not arrive we will not send out a replacement, but will prepare a replacement pack which can be collected at the information desk on the day of the race. Please bring ID to confirm you are entered.

The organisers hope that your training is going well and look forward to seeing old friends and new faces on 27 April.

Important information

All participants in the race must have reached their 17th birthday on or before the date of the race. Due to the nature of the course the organisers regret that wheelchair entries are not accepted for this race.

Entry fees are non-refundable in any circumstance. The organisers will not be operating a waiting list, a number exchange or a deferral scheme. There will not be any entries on the day. Runners must not pass their allocated numbers onto a third party.

Official charity

This year the official race charity is Thames Hospice - runners are asked to support the race charity wherever possible.

Cllr Mrs Jan Angell, Mayor of the Borough of Bracknell Forest said:

'Welcome to the 2014 Bracknell Half Marathon, which is organised by the Leisure Section of Bracknell Forest Council. The Bracknell Half Marathon has evolved since it was first run in 1984 and has become an important part of the local sporting calendar. This year the race celebrates its 30th anniversary. Since the first race all those years ago many thousands of pounds have been raised for charity whilst competitive runners have striven to finish amongst the prizes. This year the official race charity is Thames Hospice, which is also my chosen charity for this mayoral year. Please support the official charity if you can. I hope that everyone taking part enjoys their day and achieves their personal targets. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff and the army of volunteers that make this event possible. I look forward to seeing you all on 27 April and in the meantime hope that your training is going well.'
