Job club and IT open sessions

Join us for job-seeking advice and guidance in a comfortable and friendly environment.
This is a free drop-in service to help you to:
- improve your CV
- learn some interview techniques
- browse the internet for suitable jobs
- look at the job pages in the local papers
We also offer a programme of courses, both accredited and non-accredited, to enhance employability. If you would like to learn about a new occupational area, or update your skills having been away from the workplace for some time, please come along to the Job Club to learn about:
- Health and Safety
- Food Safety
- Starting your own business
- Improving your English and Maths
We can also help you to update your IT skills, build your confidence and generally support you back into work. Please feel free to come along and see what we can do for you.
The job club runs every Thursday,10am to 4pm at the Open Learning Centre.
IT open sessions
Practise and improve your IT skills at our open sessions.
Self-learn at your own pace alongside other learners, with help on-hand from our tutor. Bring your own device or use our laptops or PCs.
You will be able to use our computers for learning how to:
- browse the internet
- use an email account
- use Microsoft Word or other software packages
- improve your keyboard skills
The IT open sessions run every Friday, 10am to 2pm at The Open Learning Centre.

All subsequent sessions cost £1 per hour.
