Chief Executive's Office
This is headed by the Assistant Chief Executive who directly supports the Chief Executive by co-coordinating and delivering key corporate and community priorities which includes the promotion of the regeneration of Bracknell Town Centre, community safety, and sustaining the borough’s economic prosperity.
The Assistant Chief Executive also has lead responsibility for the following areas of work:
Communications and Marketing including:
- Strategic communications support to departments, staff and councillors
- Managing internal communications, media relations, marketing activity including campaigns, social media, branding and graphic design
- Producing publications including the residents’ newspaper Town and Country and Your Guide to Bracknell Forest
Community Safety including:
- Supporting the Community Safety Partnership
- Coordinating cross-cutting activity within the Council and with partners
Regeneration and Enterprise including:
- Economic development
- Town centre regeneration
- Sustaining the economic prosperity of Bracknell Forest
- Promoting inward investment in the borough
Performance and Partnerships including:
- Service Planning
- Policy review and analysis, including the Council’s Annual Report
- Promoting and monitoring performance across the Council
- Improving Services
- Refreshing the Sustainable Community Strategy
- Development of partnership working
- Supporting the Bracknell Forest Partnership
- Voluntary sector support
Overview and Scrutiny including:
- Supporting Members in holding the Executive and other public service providers to account
- Developing the scrutiny process to secure improvements to the Council’s and NHS’s services
- Complaints (Stage 4) and Local Government Ombudsman cases
