Consultation on expansion at Heathrow Airport

20 February 2017

Bracknell Forest residents can have their say on the proposed expansion of Heathrow Airport.

On 25 October last year, the government announced its support for a new northwest runway at Heathrow.

Following on from this, on Thursday, 2 February, a 16 week public consultation was launched by the Department for Transport on a draft Airports National Policy Statement – setting out the policy that applies to decisions on major infrastructure projects, such as this.

Cllr Paul Bettison OBE, leader of Bracknell Forest Council, said: “I would encourage Bracknell Forest residents to have their say by taking part in this important consultation. There is also a wealth of background information online which will help residents to inform their responses.”

The consultation closes on Thursday, 25 May.

More information and the consultation feedback form are available at GOV.UK.
