Key outcomes
Our key outcomes are to:
- establish the long term strategic vision and approach for physical activity, sport and leisure provision in the borough
- plan for delivering and facilitating leisure provision and providing recommendations including framework of delivery, costing and actions plans with timescales
- make sure any new or existing provision is financially sustainable
- explore issues and challenges facing local communities regarding being active
- consider the need for a new facility on the existing Bracknell Leisure Centre site
Consultation
We invited residents to help shape our new sports and leisure strategy by completing a short survey that asked:
- how active you are
- how important physical activity is to you
- which activities you take part in, where and when
- details of any barriers that prevent you from being active
The survey closed on 15 December 2023. A draft strategy is expected by March 2024.
