UK Parliamentary election

Following the Prime Minister's announcement on 18 April 2017, there will be a UK Parliamentary election on Thursday 8 June 2017. The (Acting) Returning Officer for the Borough of Bracknell Forest will be responsible for declaring the results for the Bracknell Forest Constituency.

Hanworth Town Council ward by-election

A by-election for the Hanworth ward on Bracknell Town Council will also be held on Thusday 8 June 2017.

Register to vote

The deadline to register to vote in the general election and the by-election for those who are not already registered to vote, will be Monday 22 May 2017. New applications should be made through GOV.UK.

Postal votes

If you expect to be away on or around 8 June and would like to vote by post, please ensure that a postal vote application form reaches the Electoral Services team by 5pm on Tuesday 23 May 2017.

Applications can be downloaded from Your Vote Matters. They can be emailed to voting@bracknell-forest.gov.uk once completed.

Proxy votes

If you would like to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf, please ensure that a proxy vote application form reaches the electoral services team by 5pm on Wednesday 31 May 2017.
