More About Describing Your Skills

Spend time and effort thinking about your answers to the section of the application form in step 4, General experience and further information. This asks you to describe your skills and experience you can bring that are relevant to the job.

Managers will be looking at the application form to see how your skills match the requirements given in the Person Specification. Each job has these documents within the Application Pack, which you can download at the bottom of each job vacancy.

Make sure you read this information thoroughly- then describe your skills and experience so that Managers can easily see how you meet the requirements of the role. It’s a good idea to quote requirements straight from the Person Specification and type your answers next to each.
