Assisted Waste Collection

Assisted collections are provided for:

  • Residents with disabilities or special medical conditions
  • Elderly residents who cannot manage to take their bins or recycling boxes to the kerbside

If there is an able person at the address who can move the bins and boxes then the property will not qualify for an assisted collection.

Bins and boxes can be collected from the doorstep, or an agreed place, and containers returned to this place once emptied.

To apply for an assisted collection a short application form should be filled in and sent to the Council to assess. This form can be downloaded on the right

If the collection is approved the resident will be sent a confirmation letter.

If a you no longer require the assisted collection service please advise us as soon as possible using the contact details on the right.
