Keep Mobile - Transport for Elderly and Disabled Borough Residents
Keep Mobile is an established voluntary organisation, designed specially to provide transport for elderly and disabled borough residents enabling them to retain their independence.
Services
Keep Mobile provides the following services, all of which are door to door:
- Dial A Ride (DAR) - Members can telephone to book a journey anywhere up to 15 miles from your home. Members must book their journey at least 2 days in advance.
- Long Distance Personal Travel - Members can be transported to any destination in the UK. All transportation is subject to vehicle availability.
- Day Excursions - Trips to places of interest as published in the Members Programme.
Membership
Membership is open to anyone with a disability (whatever age) that prevents them from travelling on main stream transport. In addition anyone, 70 years or over, may use the service. Self certification is all that is needed, there is normally no independent evidence required. You will need to reside in the areas covered by Bracknell Forest Council.
Membership registration is £1.00 with a yearly subscription of £5.00 to access our Dial a Ride, and out of area services.
For an additional £15.00 yearly subscription you can gain access to our Day Excursions Programme which has many destinations near and far. For more information on this you can go to www.keepmobile.org.uk

Our office hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Occasionaly the office may not be occupied at lunch time should we not have sufficient volunteers so please avoid phoning between 1.00pm and 2.00pm.
