Household Waste Recycling Centre at Longshot Lane
The nearest household waste recycling centre for borough residents is at Longshot Lane. It is run by the Waste Recycling Group (WRG) as part of the re3 partnership contract with Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Borough Councils.
It is provided for use by residents from Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham and consists of a waste transfer station that allows for trade waste and a public household and recycling area.
A bigger indoor facility is also available at Smallmead in Reading where again residents from the three councils can dispose of and recycle their household waste without charge.

If you require assistance please ask. Site staff are here to help you. All members of staff have been trained in manual handling techniques, and have been instructed to lift only items of weights and dimensions that do not put their health and safety at risk. Therefore, staff may not be able to help you unload large or awkward items. We hope you appreciate and support our efforts to ensure that the health and safety of our staff, who are serving your local community, are protected.
For more information about what you can recycle at either site, any access restrictions and to download a plan of the sites please go to the re3 website.
If you have any complaints about the Longshot Lane site, please contact re3 on 0800 9883023 or email re3.admin@wrg.co.uk.
All re3 partners and WRG are committed to minimising waste and recycling as much of the rubbish brought to the civic amenity site as possible and have to achieve statutory government recycling targets.
