Bracknell in Bloom: A Potted History
Bracknell in Bloom was launched in 2002 as part of borough council’s commitment to protect and enhance our environment and to give the town’s Britain in Bloom entry a strong identity.
2002’s jubilee-coloured floral displays in the town centre celebrated the Queen's Golden Jubilee and prompted overwhelming credit and positive media coverage which generated great local civic pride.
Since then, Bracknell in Bloom has gone from strength to strength, first entering Thames and Chilterns in Bloom in 2003 and the national Britain in Bloom competition in 2004. Bracknell in Bloom is now run by Bracknell Town Council.
