Your Gardens, the local gardening competition organised by Bracknell Forest Council and sponsored by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership announced this year’s lucky winners at the 'Bracknell in Bloom Your Gardens Awards' held at The Grange Hotel.
Main category winners:
- Best front garden - Mrs Alison Casserly, Bullbrook
- Best community garden - The Pines 'Garden of Hope', Hanworth
- Best commercial premises - The New Leathern Bottle Public House, Jealotts Hill
- Best town centre commercial premisses - Dave Alan Slade Unisex Hairstylist, Bracknell
- Best young gardener - Jack Shilley (13 years old)
- Best young gardeners - Ranelagh School, Bracknell
- Tallest sunflower - Mr & Mrs Worsnip, sunflower height of 406.5 centimetres
Judges' discretionary award winners:
- Best floral display - Mr Tom Henry, Priestwood
- Best use of space - Mrs Sally Brown, Forest Park
- Most innovative design - Mrs Lynda Wallis, Bracknell
- The Terry Mills award for the most environmentally-friendly garden - Sandy Lane Primary School, Priestwood
- Most promising young gardener - Elizabeth Hatherley (5 years old)
The judges also recognised the achievements of Jonathan Hales, Priestwood as Best Newcomer.
