Home Insulation

Bracknell Forest Borough Council is encouraging local people to be energy efficient as part of the worldwide fight against the effects of global warming. Rising fuel costs mean that that the best place to start saving energy, money and the planet is in your own home! Join householders across the country
Around half of heat loss in a typical home is through the walls and loft so it's worth checking whether yours are insulated.
Insulating your cavity walls and loft can significantly reduce your utility bills, especially when combined with draught proofing, tank and pipe insulation and double glazing.
There may also be grants and offers available to help you get properly insulated, for example from your gas and energy supplier. The Energy Savings Trust website enables you to identify any offers or grants available to you. Alternatively, contact your local Energy Efficiency Advice Centre on 0800 512 012.
