Visual Environment Upgrade Team
Launched in August 2004 the Visual Environment Upgrade Team was set up to tackle unsightly problem areas around the borough and offers a rapid response to identified tasks.
The team consists of two experienced landscape staff armed with a vehicle and a variety of tools to tackle a wide spectrum of environmental improvement projects.
From roadside verge repairs to woodland maintenance, the team have made a huge impact wherever they have been, helping to tidy up and restore community pride. A wide range of projects have already been completed, including work at:
- community centres
- residential areas
- parks
- open space
