Warfield Conservation Area
Church Lane, Warfield was the first Conservation Area to be designated in the Borough, and mainly comprises the Church of St Michael the Archangel (a Grade II* listed building) and the residences around it. Some of these are also listed. The village of Warfield has been located on its present site since the 12th century, although the church was renovated in the late 1800’s to look as it does today and most of the houses date form the 19th or late 20th centuries. Conservation Area status was granted to this area on 21st November 1974.
