Winkfield Village Conservation Area
The focus of Winkfield Village Conservation Area – designated 8th December 1977 – is Church Road, on which St Mary’s Church is situated. There are five listed buildings in the Conservation Area, and several other listed structures such as outbuildings, tombs and walls. A distinctive feature of the village is the use of local “Binfield” brick, which is orange-red in colour. St Mary’s Church was renovated around the same time as the Church of St Michael the Archangel in Warfield, and by the same architect.
