Planning Applications

The Council offers a range of online planning services, which includes:

1. We are now required to use the new national standard planning application forms – 1APP. We encourage you to submit your applications online using the Planning Portal. Before submitting online please read our guidance notes about the documentation needs to be submitted with your application.

2. The ability to view existing planning applications, appeals and related documents/plans

IMPORTANT NOTICE

There maybe some disruption to the service on 14 October between 17.00 and 20.00 while system maintenance takes place. We apologise for any inconvenience.

3. The ability to produce ordnance survey (OS) extracts for submission with planning applications

Under normal circumstances we aim to register valid applications within three working days from the date of receipt. Within one working day of validation the application documentation should be viewable on our website. All other application documentation should be available on our website within one working day of receipt.

Important Notice

Planning records are available online back to 1948. We are currently undertaking a project which will result in images of all planning applications, forms, decisions and plans being available online back to 1948. Currently this information is available back to 2000. The project is due to be completed at the end of March 2009.
