Land north of Whitegrove and Quelm Park Area Action Plan
The land to the North of Whitegrove and Quelm Park is identified in the Bracknell Forest Borough Core Strategy (Policy CS5) as a broad location for future development. This area is allocated for a comprehensive mixed-use development, including approximately 2,200 homes.
To plan for this development, the Council is developing an ‘area action plan’, which will identify the type and level of development for the site, the distribution and layout of uses across the site and the measures needed to support the development. This document will provide preferred policies, with which any development must comply, and indicative plans to show the general distribution of land uses on the site, having taken into account the aspirations of the community.
Area action plans form part of the Local Development Framework for the Borough. As a result, they are required to follow a statutory process and undertake an independent Examination before adoption.
