Land at Warfield Supplementary Planning Document
Background
The land in Warfield is identified in the Bracknell Forest Borough Core Strategy (Policy CS5) as a broad location for future development. This area is allocated for a comprehensive mixed-use development, including approximately 2,200 homes.
To plan for this development, the Council is developing a supplementary planning document, which will guide the type and level of development for the site, the distribution and layout of uses across the site and the measures needed to support the development. This document will provide development principles and concept plan preferred policies, which together will form a comprehensive framework to guide development. Once adopted, and with Policy CS5 of the adopted Core Strategy, the SPD will be a material consideration in the determination of planning applications affecting the site.
Public Participation
The Council is in the process of speaking to a range of interested groups, infrastructure and service providers. A consultation document will be published in July-August 2010.
Publication of the Warfield SPD
The Council will consider and collate responses received together with other sources of evidence including the sustainability appraisal. The final document and sustainability appraisal are due to be published December 2010 – January 2011.
