Supplementary Planning Documents
Supplementary planning documents (SPDs) form part of the Local Development Framework and may cover a range of issues covering wider themes or relating to site specific guidance. They may therefore include design guides, area development briefs or master-plans.
Supplementary planning documents must be clearly linked to a policy in a Local Development Document or a saved policy in the adopted Bracknell Forest Borough Local Plan.
The Borough Council has prepared the following supplementary planning documents under the Local Development Framework:
- Designing for Accessibility in Bracknell Forest
- Limiting the Impact of Development
- Bracknell Forest Borough Parking Standards
- Sustainable Resource Management
Click on the links for further information on these documents. In addition, the Local Development Scheme sets out that one further supplementary planning document which is being prepared:
- Streetscene - will provide detailed highway design guidance for new development.
For further information on the documents, please look at the
Local Development Scheme September 2008 to August 2011.pdf (583kb) In particular, section 5 of the Local Development Scheme gives details of the documents that form the Local Development Framework, whilst Appendix 2 contains more information about the timetables for the preparation of each of the documents.
