Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme is a three-year work programme that sets out the documents the Borough Council will produce as part of the Local Development Framework. Section 5 of the Local Development Scheme gives details of the documents that form the Local Development Framework, whilst Appendix 2 contains more information about the timetables for the preparation of each of the documents. These include both development plan documents and supplementary planning documents. Those under preparation are:

During the period covered by the Local Development Scheme, work is also scheduled to start on several other documents:

  • Bracknell Forest Character Areas Supplementary Planning Document will formalise guidance on future development within specific areas that have specific character or interest.
  • Development Management – Environmental, Recreation and Transport Policies and Sites will provide a detailed policy framework for environmental, recreation and transport matters.
  • Limiting the Impact of Development - review
  • Statement of Community Involvement - review

Bracknell Town CentreThe Proposals Map will be updated where the preparation of these documents results in a need to change the designation shown.
