Sustainable Resource Management Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) SA/SEA
The Sustainable Resource Management SPD aims to provide clarity to the development industry, the public and to the Council on how new development can be constructed in a sustainable way to meet or exceed current best practice standards.
The Sustainability Appraisal for the Sustainable Resource Management Supplementary Planning Document (SRM SPD) has been completed in parallel with the SPD to ensure it has informed the SPD throughout production. It incorporates a Strategic Environmental Assessment and will follow the procedure outlined in government guidance.
A Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report was published for consultation during July and August 2007. A draft Sustainability Appraisal Report was produced in November 2007 and consulted upon.
The final Sustainability Appraisal Report, which supports the Sustainable Resource Management SPD, has now been completed
