Thames Basin Heaths SPA Avoidance and Mitigation Supplementary Planning Document SA/SEA
ListenThis supplementary planning document (SPD) will provide guidance on how to avoid and mitigate the impacts of new residential development on the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA).
The sustainability appraisal for the Thames Basin Heaths SPA Avoidance and Mitigation SPD will be completed in parallel with the SPD itself so that it informs the SPD throughout production. It incorporates a strategic environmental assessment and will follow the procedure outlined in government guidance.
A sustainability appraisal scoping report has been produced, which outlines the scope of the sustainability appraisal, and how it will be carried out.

The consultation period for the sustainability appraisal scoping report has finished. Thank you to all who have made a response to this consultation and the council will use all responses in producing the next version of the sustainability appraisal which will inform the draft SPD.
