Limiting the Impact of Development Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)

We have prepared and published a supplementary planning document on Limiting the Impact of Development (LID). This document was adopted as an SPD at a meeting of the Executive of Bracknell Forest Borough Council on 24 July 2007.
This SPD sets out how we will ensure speed, transparency and consistency in the implementation of Local Plan policies through the negotiation of planning obligations.
It identifies the infrastructure and other requirements that are likely to be sought and provides guidance on standard formulae for calculating contributions. It also contains a word version of a model Section 106 agreement.
Following an Executive decision on 5 July 2011, we signed the Strategic Access Management and Monitoring (SAMM) Agreement. This affects the levels of Special Protection Area (SPA) contributions. Section 11, Appendix B and Appendix C of the SPD have been revised to explain the changes. This will be a material consideration in the determination of planning applications. Further changes to these sections of this SPD were the subject of a consultation in autumn 2011. Find out more about the Thames Basin Heaths SPA Avoidance and Mitigation SPD and the SAMM Project on our Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area page.
