The Streetscene SPD sets out an holistic approach to the design of our future residential streetscenes across a number of our services. This approach incorporates urban design, highway design, adoptions, landscape, trees, refuse management and road safety issues. Additionally, the document will state the Council’s response, as both a Planning and Highway Authority, to the national guidance documents “Manual for Streets” and “Manual for Streets 2 – A Wider Application of the Principles”.

Detailed information is also included on commuted sum payments.

Annex 1 of the SPD, the Highways Guide for Development, details the technical specifications for implementing the principles contained within the main body of the SPD.

The document and its annex, the Highways Guide for Development, were adopted as an SPD at a meeting of the Executive of Bracknell Forest Borough Council on 29 March 2011. It can be downloaded, along with other related information:
