Disabled Persons Parking
Residential Streets
The Council can provide disabled persons' parking bays in residential streets for Blue Badge holders that meet certain eligibility criteria. Enquirers will be provided with an application form and leaflet describing the operation of the scheme, the conditions of use of bays and the likely timescale for the provision of a bay.
Applicants should:
- Not already have accessible on-plot parking available; and
- Have a valid Blue Badge; and
- Qualify for the higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance; or would qualify for the higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living allowance but are over 65 years of age.
On-street disabled parking bays cannot be provided where they might result in a road safety problem.
