February - March 2008
Continuation of construction of bridge foundations – pile caps, abutments and approach ramps.
April 2008
Completion of the abutments and approach ramps to the new footbridge.
May 2008
Installation of the new footbridge and demolition of the existing bridge. Pedestrians will be transferred onto the new bridge at the end of May.
Weekend closures of Mill Lane between its roundabout junctions with Ringmead and Wildridings Road and its roundabout junctions with South Hill Road and Great Holland’s Road on 3 - 4 May and 31 May – 1 June.
June 2008
Site demobilisation and landscaping of the area.
July 2008
Opening of the new footbridge.
