PlusBus – combined rail and bus travel

PlusBus is a discounted bus pass for travellers when they purchase a rail ticket. It allows unlimited local bus travel around town at the start, the end, or on both ends of your train journey. This could be especially appealing to commuters who drive to the railway station and pay for parking.

PlusBus tickets can be bought from rail operators, so if you are making a rail journey, and can use buses at either end of your journey, simply ask at the railway station when buying your rail ticket. PlusBus tickets are also available when you buy your tickets in advance.

For more information, and a map showing the area you can use a Bracknell PlusBus ticket, download the leaflet on the right or use the link to the national PlusBus website.

Green bus service for Wildridings and Jennett's Park  - 22 October 2007

Photo of new Bus 108A new environmentally-friendly bus service has been launched in Bracknell. The 108 route runs from the town centre to the Wildridings estate, and then on to the emerging Jennett’s Park development.

The route makes use of dedicated bus links to offer a quick journey to and from town. Buses run every 15 minutes in each direction Monday to Saturday, and every 30 minutes on Sundays and evenings.

The buses used on the route run on biofuel – plant oil rather than conventional diesel - which saves about 56 tons of carbon emissions per vehicle every year. The new buses also have low floors, making getting on and off easier, and are able to accommodate one passenger in a wheelchair. There is also on-board CCTV for passenger safety.

Bus route 108 has been created by Bracknell Forest Council, funded by Jennett’s Park developers Redrow and Persimmon and is operated by Courtney Coaches.
