Goddard Way play area opens

13 May 2014

The wet weather failed to dampen the spirits of special guests at the reopening of Goddard Way play area in Warfield on Thursday, May 8 .

The play space has had a fantastic facelift with new steel fencing; the worn rubber safety tiles have been replaced; new pathways link the play equipment, which includes a new climbing unit, see-saw, springer and senior swings. A new bin and bench have also been installed.

Cllr Iain McCracken, Bracknell Forest's executive member for culture, corporate services and public protection, Cllr Clifton Thompson, who represents Warfield Harvest Ride, and pupils and teachers from Warfield CE Primary School helped open the new facilities.

Also there were parks and countryside officer Denise Hyman and senior ranger Alan Wilson.
