Change to arrangements for Christmas tree collection
For safety reasons, real Christmas trees will only be collected as garden waste in your brown bin/council garden waste sack on your recycling collection day. Please ensure the lid/sack is closed and all decorations and lights are removed.
Any trees not in a closed brown bin/council garden waste sack will not be taken.
Alternatively, you can book a bulky collection to have any Christmas trees removed.
You can also take them to Longshot Lane Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC).
Bin collection days
We operate an alternate bin collection system. Refuse is collected one week and recycling and garden waste on the following week.
Use the bin collection day finder to find your zone and bin collection dates. You can also download our collection calendars.
Putting your bin out for collection
Please ensure the correct container is out at the kerbside for collection by 6.30am. This can be done the night before. Once emptied, it must be returned to your property.
Please note that leaving excess waste or recycling in the street is an offence that could lead to prosecution. Bins should be presented with the lids closed. Excess waste left by the bin will not be taken.
We will collect occasional large cardboard packaging boxes that will not fit in the blue bin. Please ensure any cardboard boxes are empty, flattened and put neatly next to the blue bin on recycling collection week. Excess recycling will not be accepted if it is in boxes or plastic bags.
If you require a second blue bin please use our new or replacement bin request form.
Missed bin collections
If you have missed your bin collection please go to the missed bin collection page for more information.
If you need an additional collection please complete our additional waste or recycling collection request form. There is a charge for additional collections.
