Independence at home
If you suffer from a disability or chronic illness and need help with daily activities such as getting dressed, washing, or going out, you may be entitled to support. This support can be provided in your own home.
Adapting your home
If you experience difficulties in your own home, for example having trouble getting up the stairs, Disabled Facilities Grants may be of interest to you. These grants assist you with the cost of making changes to your home, in order for you to enjoy a better quality of life.
As with any of our support grant schemes, you will need to undergo a needs assessment to determine your eligibility. Please contact our Community Response and Reablement team for more details.
Equipment in your home
Occupational therapists may be able help you by advising you on equipment and alterations in your home. These alterations could make your daily life safer as well as enabling you to be more independent.
If you need support
If you require any care or support, contact the Community Response and Reablement team who will be able to advise you and may make an appointment for a needs assessment. For more information on what kinds of support are available please visit our support in your home page.
