Children and families in Sandhurst now have access to extended services through their local schools. The schools in the cluster are:
- Sandhurst School
- Owlsmoor Primary School
- College Town Infant School
- College Town Junior School
- Uplands Primary School
- New Scotland Hill Primary School
- St. Michael’s CE Primary School
Extended services on offer locally include:
- A Nepali support group
- English as a second language classes (ESOL)
- Targeted study support for Nepali children (extra lessons, translation services, socials etc)
- Support for parents through structured sessions and family outreach workers
- A wide range of out of school activities for children and young people
- Fun family learning sessions
- Young people’s health drop-in
- Access to local childcare
There is a three year plan for the area, detailing current and future work (see right). The Area Steering Group (ASG) oversees the plan, and the local work. See the first page of the plan for details of who sits on the group.
