Online Booking System for Governor and Clerk Training
New for this year is the Online Booking area which is being used for governors’ and clerks’ development opportunities for the first time. This gives you the full, up to date list of all our training courses, briefings and workshops and allows you to book directly on to the session of your choice. The first time that you use the on-line booking area, you will need to register and complete your personal details. This should take approximately 2 – 3 minutes. Your password will be emailed to you. Please keep a note of this for future use.

Terms and Conditions of Booking Governor and Clerk Training Courses
Charging for published courses
Governors: All schools have signed the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for Governor Training and therefore there is no additional cost for attending training sessions.
Clerks: If your school has signed the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for Clerking Services, there will be no additional cost for clerks (including clerks to committees) attending training sessions designated for clerks. If your school has not joined, there will be a charge of £50 per delegate per course. In addition clerks can attend courses for governors.
The Induction for New Governors, Clerks’ Briefing, Chairmen’s Briefing and Link Governor meeting are free of charge.
On site training
If your governing body requires on-site training for the whole governing body, this should be arranged by calling the governors’ helpdesk on 01344 354066 or by email to governors.helpdesk@bracknell-forest.gov.uk. Governors are entitled to two on-site sessions at no additional charge as all schools have signed the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for governor training.
Cancellation
There is no cancellation charge to governors and clerks. Courses may be cancelled if there are too few applicants to make the course viable.
