  • Your Teacher number.
  • Your National Insurance number.
  • Attach a P45 (if you have one) to your first time sheet. If you do not have you can obtain a P46 form from Payroll - telephone number 01344 352081
  • Your bank details

The school will provide you with a time sheet to complete. Once you have completed and signed the form with the number of hours you have worked, return this to the school who will then forward it to the payroll department.

Salary

Your salary will be assessed in accordance with the provisions of the current Teacher Pay and Conditions Document, and the rate you will be paid will depend on your qualifications and the amount of teaching experience you have.

The hourly rate is based on 1,265 hours of directed time available in the school year and gives you an enhanced rate to include holiday pay.

Your salary will not be assessed until the submission of your first time sheet. A provisional salary may have to be given until the information you have supplied is confirmed. It is important that you give the essential information on your application form so that you can be paid at the correct hourly rate.

See current teacher pay scales.

Bracknell Forest pay Outer Fringe London Allowance, this allowance has already been included in the pay scales.

To qualify for a spinal point increment you must work for atleast one day of 26 weeks of the academic year.

Payment Frequency

Payments into your bank account are made on the last working day of the month. The hours you will be paid for will depend upon the date your time sheet was submitted to the payroll department.  We endeavour to pay you as quickly as possible, but it is your responsibility to ensure that the time sheet has been completed correctly and submitted to our payroll department quickly.

The payroll department has a monthly deadline for information and changes, this is generally in the first week of each month. You will receive payment for the hours you have worked and submitted time sheets for, up until the date of the payroll deadline. Any subsequent hours will be paid in the payroll run in the following month.

Your school will be able to give you details of the monthly payroll deadlines.

Teachers' Pensions

All supply teachers are automatically included in the Teachers' Pension Scheme unless we have evidence that you have previously opted out of the scheme.  You must inform us if you do not want contributions to be deducted from your salary and the necessary documentation can be forwarded to you to enable you to opt-out of the scheme.
