Biodiversity Action Plan

Individual action plans have been devised for 24 species of plants and animals in Bracknell Forest known as the "Bracknell 24". These species have been carefully chosen to include a wide cross section ranging from internationally rare or protected species, to more common species which are locally valued or special. Actions to conserve the "Bracknell 24" and their habitats will also have beneficial knock-on effects for other species.
For information on the "Bracknell 24" please download the Bracknell Forest Biodiversity Action Plan to the right of this page
The Bracknell Forest Biodiversity Action Plan comprises 140 targets intended to drive conservation of species and habitats spread across a period of six years from 2006. Progress on these targets has been collated through contact with those who are actively involved in achieving positive steps towards improving biodiversity. Special thanks go to those who have helped provide information on the activities of various organisations in relation to targets.
The mid-term review of progress on the Bracknell Forest Biodiversity Action Plan is now available, see downloads.
