The Parks Photo Competition 2009 is now open for entries!

This year the competition looks set to receive yet more inspiring and diverse entries representing the nature of our landscapes and will be specifically focusing on the interaction between local wildlife, people and places.

How do I enter?

Entries can be submitted by email or post to the contact details listed on the right of this page. The competition closes for entries at 5pm on 28 August 2009.

A brief summary of the rules

  • The subject for the photographic competition is parks, countryside and wildlife and all entries must be taken in the parks and countryside sites of Bracknell Forest Borough.
  • Images cannot be previously published or taken by professional photographers.
  • People who are in pictures must sign a permission form before it can be considered.
  • Anyone who submits a picture is deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions which can be downloaded from the right of this page; hard copies are also available on request.

Exhibiting the winning images

Winning images from the 2009 competition will be exhibited in the community gallery at South Hill Park from February 2010. The images will also be used to promote the borough’s open spaces in Parks & Countryside Service publications and on the Council’s website.

Parks Photo Competition 2008

In summer 2008 entries flooded in following the Council's Parks & Countryside Service's request for the residents of Bracknell Forest to send in photos of their local green spaces with the natural world at the heart of each image.
