The visiting speaker will be Robin Simpson, the Chief Executive of the Voluntary Arts Network. If your organisation would like to be involved, please complete the booking form.

For individuals (all art forms)

The Creative Network for individuals exists to support, promote, network and consult with artists who live or work in Bracknell Forest.

South Hill Park view of gardenIt is a partnership project with South Hill Park and friendly meetings are held at South Hill Park Hill three times a year. Topics have included ‘Making Funding Applications’, ‘Working in Schools’, ‘Creative Enterprise’ and ‘How to Promote your Work’. Each meeting allows artists across the borough to meet, network and share experiences, resources and best practice.

In addition to the meetings, members of the creative network complete a database form and are regularly kept up to date about local opportunities and consulted about developments. The database can also be used to identify potential artists for employment on projects.

If you would like to join the network please complete the form for freelance artists in the download section of this page and email it to Kerry Lemon, Assistant Arts Development Officer kerry.lemon@bracknell-forest.gov.uk.

For arts organisations (all art forms, all sizes)

Following on from the success of the established Creative Network for Individuals we have created The Creative Network for Organisations. This has been developed by Bracknell Forest Council in conjunction with South Hill Park to support and develop the potential of arts organisations in the area. It provides a chance for representatives from similar fields to pool resources, share best practice and most importantly to create an opportunity for networking and discussion.

The Creative Network will host a number of meetings throughout the year, examining themes of interest to arts organisations such as promotion, funding and staffing structures. By registering with the Creative Network we can keep you informed of future meetings and opportunities. The database will also serve as a resource for clients seeking to work with arts organisations in the area.

The first meeting is taking place at South Hill Park on the 6 October 2008 from 5.45-7.45pm, and will allow those present to shape the future of the network. Our visiting speaker for this session is Robin Simpson, the CEO of Voluntary Arts Network (VAN) which is the development agency for the voluntary arts - for further details of VAN's work please visit http://www.voluntaryarts.org.

If you would like to join the network please complete the form for arts organisations in the download section of this page and email it to Kerry Lemon, Assistant Arts Development Officer kerry.lemon@bracknell-forest.gov.uk.
