Community Liaison
The aim of Community Liaison Groups is to enhance community spirit and mutual support by:
- Involving local people within the communities
- Providing a forum to raise issues
- Feeding back information to communities
- Improving communication between local communities, public authorities and the voluntary sector
- Furthering Police/Community Liaison
Currently there is one Community Liaison Group in the Borough, the Birch Hill and Hanworth Community Liaison Group, which is run by a committee of local residents. The group’s most visible activity is the Litter Pick, which is held every other month in order to raise awareness of the problem.
