Heritage Forum
The Heritage Forum was created as the first stage in Bracknell Forest Borough Council’s Heritage Strategy, and the first meeting was held on 26 October 2004.
The Forum meets three times a year and its members include Bracknell Forest Borough Council and Parish Councillors as well as local historians and representatives of local associations. Each meeting has a guest speaker, which so far have included speakers from English Heritage, Berkshire Archaeology, The Museum of English Rural Life and the Civic Trust. The Forum has also recently been on a behind the scenes tour of the Berkshire Record Office.
The Forum enables its members to assist and inform the Heritage Officer on heritage matters relevant to Bracknell Forest, whilst at the same time providing an opportunity to generate and develop new ideas to further a sense of local identity.
