Karate
Karate is a martial art and system of self defence. The literal meaning is ‘empty hand way’, emphasizing the lack of conventional weapons in this fighting art.
Shotokan karate is one of the most traditional and widely practised forms but there are many other styles including Wado-ryu, Goju-ryu and Shito-ryu.
There are many physical and mental benefits gained through Karate training including the development of confidence; physical fitness; stamina; self-esteem; reduces stress.
