Sailing

Sailing is the most successful Olympic sport in this country and Great Britain is the world’s top Olympic sailing nation.

Probably the quickest and easiest way to learn to sail is to start with dinghy sailing. Dinghies are small, easy to handle and generally light to launch and transport. Learn to sail on your own in a single handed dinghy or with a crew. You can potter about exploring your local stretch of water, join a sailing club full of like-minded people, or learn to race.

SailingOne of the great things about sailing is that you don’t have to be young, fit or related to a great sea faring family to quickly pick up the basics of this superb and highly diverse sport. National Governing Body

The Royal Yachting Association is the national body for all forms of recreational and competitive boating. It represents dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, inland cruising and personal watercraft (jet skis).
