Rights of Way Improvement Plan
Bringing Rights of Way Into the 21st Century
Bracknell Forest Council has now completed its Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) and the final documents are available to download from the right hand side of this page.
As part of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, all local authorities must produce a ROWIP, with proposals on how to manage and improve public rights of way to meet the needs of the public.
Public rights of way include footpaths, bridleways, byways and restricted byways and the Bracknell Forest project began by finding out what you thought of your local paths.
Following this initial consultation, work took place on assessing the consultation results and evaluating the public rights of way network. Following this and the drafting of the ROWIP, further consultation on took place.
