Rights of Way Improvement Plan
The Bracknell Forest Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) is a 10-year strategic document covering the entire borough, and sets out how we as the Highway Authority intend to improve the management, provision and promotion of our rights of way network.
Our Vision is to provide a public rights of way network:
- on which up-to-date information is readily available by a variety of means;
- that is physically accessible for all where practicable;
- which meets the needs of a wide variety of users for both recreation and access.
The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 requires that all local authorities must produce a ROWIP and review these within 10 years. Our mid-term review examines how well targets and actions are being achieved half way through the 10-year period and re-evaluates the existing agreed priorities for the remainder of the plan.
