Free tablet help sessions
Get to know your tablet better and find out how to download free library e-books, e-audiobooks and e-magazines. Contact us to book a free 45-minute session for friendly help and advice. We can also help with email, internet browsing and app downloads.

What we offer
We offer hundreds of free e-books and e-audio books for accessing on your computer, smartphone, tablet, e-Reader or MP3 player from the comfort of your home or on the move, 24 hours a day. They won’t become overdue so you don’t have to worry about charges.
We subscribe to several services. Each supplier has unique titles with different download formats and licensing. There’s something to suit everyone’s needs.
You must be a member of Bracknell Forest libraries to use these services. If you are not yet a member of the library you can become one by applying for an e+ card at any of our libraries.
Please note that our e-books are currently not compatible with Amazon Kindle e-readers but can be accessed on the Kindle Fire through your internet browser.
You can search for e-books and audio books in our library catalogue by selecting 'eBook' or 'Audiobook' as the format in the advanced search option. Other e-books and e-audio titles are available from the suppliers described below.

You can borrow four items for 21 days. An app is available for listening on the move, just search for 'BorrowBox' in your device's app store. You can also download to a computer and transfer to any compatible MP3 device.

You can download 4 books for 21 days.
One Click Digital
You can download up to ten books for 21 days on to your PC or portable device. If you prefer, you can install the free app to your device (search your app store using the keyword oneclickdigital - all one word)
You can download five e-books or e-audiobooks at a time and decide whether you would like to borrow for 7, 14 or 21 days.
Public Library Online
This is a great collection including biographies, crime, children’s and reading group reads with books by James Patterson, Lee Child, Joanna Trollope and Jacqueline Wilson.
No downloading is required. Read the e-books directly on to your web-enabled device. Log in with your library card number - no need to create an account.
The RNIB has a free audiobook service for registered visually impaired UK residents.
