The Government’s Localism Act gives the council new opportunities to ensure its allocation policy meets local housing needs. This, together with the council’s bidding system for housing, BFC My choice, that has been operating for over a year presents a good time to review the allocation policy.

We are consulting with local residents, partners and stakeholders on some proposals that we have for changes to the allocations policy. In considering the proposed changes the guidance note and questionnaire will form the basis of the public consultation.

How to respond

• Complete the online consultation questionnaire or
• Download the questionnaire and send it to us or
• Pick up a paper copy from our council offices at Time Square or Easthampstead House

Throughout the consultation period the allocation policy questionnaire and guidance note will be available on the public website and BFC My choice website.

The consultation period runs from Friday 6 January 2012 ending on Friday 30 March 2012.
