Ladybank Care Centre
Ladybank is a resource for care of older people, with the addition of an intermediate care facility.
There are 22 residential beds for long term use. One bed is available for short term respite use for people who live in the community and either they, or their carers need a break, as they will not be available to continue the care for short periods, for example because of a holiday or for medical reasons.
Initially, people need to contact us using the details on the right for assessment and referral for any of the residential care beds. This service is registered to admit people who are 65 years and above.
We have 19 intermediate care beds in the Bridgewell Centre, located within 10A Ladybank. These beds are for the use of people needing rehabilitation following an operation, a fall at home, or illness which has left them requiring professional help to improve their mobility or self help skills in order for them to return home and live as independently as possible in the community.
These beds may be used to prevent unnecessary hospital admission, as physiotherapy and occupational therapy are part of this service. The Intermediate team is a joint venture with the Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Bracknell Forest Borough Council's, Social Services and Housing Department. This service is registered to admit people from 18 years and above.
We aim to keep people as independent as possible whether in the residential or intermediate care sections, we try to provide a homely environment. Activities are encouraged as groups or individuals, and visitors and friends are welcome. Before admission, visits can be arranged to look at the facilities and ask questions about any aspect of the services provided.
