The Benefit Service is committed to providing an efficient and customer focussed service. We set ourselves standards and we regularly ask customers what they think of the service provided. Please see our current Service Standards leaflet.
We want to provide all of our customers with an excellent service. We try to identify who our customers are and then consult them to see how we are doing and make improvements based on the findings.

Improving the Services
In response to customer feedback we have:
- Introduced a new telephone system. This monitors the number of calls waiting and so during busy times we can increase the number of staff answering calls.
- Reviewed the information available to customers to provide a wider range and better quality of information.
- Formed a Customer Focus Group where we can gain customer feedback and input into improving the service
- A new application form was designed and was approved by our Customer Focus Group.
- Benefits Service staff have attended Customer Care refresher training sessions.
