ListenBracknell subscribes to National Benefit Leaflets website. A one stop shop for leaflets containing general advice and guidance about Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit in the UK. This site provides leaflets in an easy to read style and have been approved by the Plain English Campaign to be ‘jargon free’. As well as the electronic versions available on this website, an audio version is available in English. Leaflets in Braille and Large Print can also be requested. The leaflets are available in other languages direct from there website to download.

Translation Services
Our translation service called LIPS - Language Indicator Prompt System. From a book the customer is able to identify their language; this will then allow a series of keys questions to be asked that will enable the service to arrange for an interpreter.
Also available is the translation & interpretation guide. This lists all available staff, with their language & skill level, that can either translate or sign. This guide also provides detail of services for deaf customers such as Typetalk, and for blind or partially sighted customers.
