LSCB Training Page

The Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) is responsible for ensuring that safeguarding training is provided to professionals and volunteers working with children, young people or families in Bracknell Forest (the Children’s Workforce).

View the training programmes we offer.

The Training Calender indicates what training would be most helpful for specific professionals or volunteers, depending on their role. The types of Safeguarding training that are of benefit to everyone include:

  • An introduction to safeguarding children and young people
  • Safeguarding children - a shared responsibility
  • Drug awareness training
  • Mental health awareness training
  • Domestic Abuse training
  • Health and disability awareness
  • Common Assessment Framework (CAF) training
  • Safer Workforce training

There are other more specific training programmes, aimed at some members of the Children’s Workforce with specific responsibilities for Child Protection (please see the Training Calender for further information).
